Our Rome to Venice sightseeing tour provides travelers with an insider’s view of the country’s rich history and culture.

Rome: The “Eternal City”

Your Italian adventure begins in Rome, the capital city also known as “the eternal city.”

  • The Colosseum provides visitors with a glimpse into Italy’s past and tourists can almost picture the gladiators training for combat and the cheers of the spectators.
  • Vatican City, the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, is also known for ornate art throughout the area. Popular sites include St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel for its religious significance and stunning artwork, especially Michelangelo frescoes paintings on the ceiling.
  • The Roman Forum allows visitors to travel in the footsteps of rulers and people who influenced history, especially when you visit the temples, basilicas, and government building.
  • Palatine Hill, one of the Seven Hills of Rome, is a popular place for tourists to stand and look over the Forum.
  • Rome’s culinary delights include classics such as Carbonara and Cacio e Pepe pasta, and of course, gelato.

Florence: The Cradle Of The Renaissance

Florence is known as the birthplace of the Renaissance art movement.  The city is an art lover's paradise since many streets feature artists' works making the streets look like a museum.

  • The Florence Cathedral, also known as the Duomo.  The cathedral, which is famous for its dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, remains one of the prime examples of Renaissance architectural and artistic achievements. The top of the dome offers a full view of the terracotta roofs of Florence, the Arno River, and the green Tuscan countryside.
  • Uffizi Gallery has a stunning collection of Renaissance treasures. Visitors will view masterpieces by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, and Raphael. Every painting has a history in it, depicting the era of Florence as the hub of art and creativity.
  • World Class Shopping - Florence is a wonderful place to buy fine leather products, as well as 18-carat gold jewelry.
  • Tuscan cuisine is known for its simple preparations and fresh products.  Popular dishes include a Florentine steak with a glass of Chianti wine or pappardelle al cinghiale—homemade pasta with wild boar sauce. Travelers should savor cantucci with vin santo—a Tuscan delicacy best savored after a day of sightseeing.

Pisa: More Than Just A Tower

Pisa is known around the world for one of the world’s seven wonders—the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This architectural wonder has been built with a slight tilt and attracts visitors from around the world.

  • Piazza dei Miracoli – the Cathedral of Pisa, the Baptistery, and the Camposanto Monumentale – is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The entire square exemplifies the artistic and architectural prowess of medieval Italy.
  • Pisa’s Hidden Gems - By wandering around the city, visitors will discover medieval churches, vivid markets, and the banks of the Arno River. In addition to its famous sites, Pisa is a city that arguably has much more to do and see in terms of people’s everyday experiences and ways of life.
  • Pisa Food And Wine Experiences – visitors should try the local trattoria, which offers regional dishes such as cecina, a chickpea crepe, or pappardelle con lepre, pasta with hare sauce. Savor a glass of local wine and round off the meal with a slice of torta co’ bischeri, a pie made with chocolate, pine nuts, and raisins from Pisa.

Verona: The City of Love

Verona exudes romance and history.  The city is also known as the setting for Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet.”

  • Arena di Verona is one of the leading opera theaters located in a Roman amphitheater. This theater has almost the same architectural design as Rome's Colosseum.
  • Juliet’s House tours are one of the famous attractions because people travel from around the world to see the balcony where Romeo and Juliet were married. Although there is not much truth to linking the observed site to the characters portrayed by Shakespeare, it is quite a popular site for tourists.
  • Piazza delle Erbe is a main market square in Verona, that is filled with medieval architecture and nice cafés. It is an ideal location to feel the pulse of the city.
  • Verona culinary delights include risotto all’Amarone, a risotto prepared with Amarone wine, and pastissada de caval, which is a stewed horse meat dish.
